The newly opened café in the Semler Residence at Klatovské 110 offers a cosy place to sit and a place to enjoy some delicious coffee and cakes over a book or with good company before your tour of the Loos Interiors. It’s open every day (apart from Mondays) from 10-18h.
The entire café space is dominated by Adolf Loos’ wedding photo with his third wife Claire Beck, while the centre of the café features a bar adorned with a “patchwork” design using what remained of the home’s original doors. The same element is used in the visitor’s centre to clad the reception desk.
The company Pappa Coffee runs Café Semler on behalf of the Gallery of West Bohemia in Pilsen. Alongside the coffee and other beverages, the café has homemade cakes and sandwiches on offer. Breakfast will also be served at the start of the new year.
